GLOUCESTER, Va. - Walter Melvin Ogle went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 9, 2012, at the age of 62.

A native of Dallas, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1989. Following retirement he learned the trade of laying ceramic tile. He en-joyed hunting and fishing. Melvin was very dedicated to his family.

He is survived by his wife, Jewel Ogle; children, Toby Kelly and husband Pat, Naomi Weaver, Samuel Ogle and wife Natalie, Esther Corbin and hus-band Vernon, Solomon Ogle; grandchildren, Jordan Weaver, Edmond Ogle, Victoria Ogle; sister, Ann McMullin; and a host of nieces, nephews and a large extended family.

Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Charles Curtis will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Open Bible Assembly Church, Dallas.

Interment with military honors will be in Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Open Bible Assembly Church.
