Wayne Richmond Obituary
He was born in Charlotte and was the son of the late Basum and Georgia Cannon Richmond.
Mr. Richmond retired as a Supervisor with Pharr Yarns, Inc.
Mr. Richmond is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherry Hord Richmond; three sons, Mark Richmond and wife Angelia of Asheville, Darrell Kitchen and wife Christal, Darrin Pearson of Gastonia; three daughters, Stacy Peterson and husband Jeff Snuggs of Belmont, Lisa Brown and husband Martin, Kristy Halk of Gastonia; one brother, Jerry Richmond and wife Cathy of Charlotte; two sisters, Virginia Rodden and husband Paul of Belmont, Sherry Rice and husband Tony of Gastonia; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Hord officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens, Mount Holly.
Mr. Richmond was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin Richmond.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O. Box 3984, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.

SHERRY, SORRY FOR YOUR LOSE.WAYNE WAS A GOOD MAN AND A GREAT SUPERVIOR . HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE AND IS NOT IN THE PAIN THAT HE WAS IN. GOD TOOK HIM HOME TO BE WITH HIM. MY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
