CHARLOTTE - Wyndham "Wyndi" Leigha Bostic Sifford, 29, of Mooresville, died June 20, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
She was born July 17, 1982, in Lincolnton, the only child of Fran Hilton Ellis and Gordon Lee Bostic III. Wyndi began playing the piano at age 6 and continued lessons until age 18, often accompanying her mother on piano for church, theatre and family gatherings. She was baptized at age 8 after a profession of faith. She ran cross country for the track team and was a member of the marching band at Clover High School, where she graduated in 2000. Wyndi was a cheerleader for the Belmont Abbey Crusaders, graduating in 2004 majoring in Sociology, minor in Psychology with her concentration in Criminal Justice. She was a merchandising specialist with Lowe's Home Improvement Stores in Mooresville. She married the love of her life, Daniel Lee Sifford on January 8, 2011 and gave birth to her daughter, Isabel Virginia Sifford on May 27, 2012.
Although she was an only child, she enjoyed the companionship of all her many friends including Christopher Donoghue whom she considered her truest brother. Wyndi also thought of her Mom's dearest friends to be her aunts and uncles. Wyndi was an organ donor and because of her final, unselfish act, many others will live and countless other lives will be impacted in a beautiful way.
Survivors of Mrs. Sifford include her husband, Daniel Lee Sifford and daughter, Isabel Virginia Sifford, both of Mooresville; parents, Fran and Robbie Ellis of Clover, SC; Gordon Bostic and Rick Sims of Charlotte, NC; grandmother Betty Ellis of Clover, SC; mother-in-law, Catherine Zeggert of Holden Beach, NC; father-in-law, Deven Wright and wife Patty of Pompano Beach, FL; brother-in-law, Patrick Zeggert of Concord, NC; Godparents, Christo-pher Donoghue and Heather Lawson.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Kay and Gordon Bostic; maternal grandmother, Virginia Brewer Hilton and grandfather, Robert Ellis.
A service to celebrate Wyndi's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Covenant United Methodist Church, 801 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC, with the Revs. Paul Brown and Leland Kerr officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Interment will be held privately for the family.
