STANLEY - Clarence Luther Bell, 61, died Jan. 29, 2011, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.
He was a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Clarence and Katie Bell, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Bell is survived by two daughters, Melissa Dockery and husband Anthony of Alexis, and Leah Bell of Charlotte; two granddaughters, Ally and Olivia Dockery; five sisters, Emma Freeman of Gastonia, Frances Heavner of Dallas, Jennie Rhyne of Ocala, Fla., Katie Bell of Dallas, and Teresa Young of Dallas; brother, Lannie Bell of Dallas.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bobby and Jerry Bell; and a sister, Joann McClure.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley, with the Rev. John Freeman officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service.
