RANLO - Catherine Elizabeth Grice Arrowood, wife of Ben Gordon Arrowood, Sr. of Ranlo, went to her heavenly home on October 10, 2011.

She was born on June 10, 1922, in York County South Carolina to the late George and Maggie Grice.

She was a life long member of Ranlo Baptist Church where she taught GA's, RA's, and Sunday School, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone she met.

She was retired from Pharr Yarns in 1984.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Larry Couick of Greenwood, SC; son and daughter-in-law, Ben, Jr. and Sissy Arrowood of Clover, SC, son, Michael Arrowood of Gastonia; five grandchildren, Kevin Couick, Mark and wife Kristyn Couick of Rock Hill, SC, Michael, Jr. and wife Taylor Arrowood of Gastonia, Julia Arrowood of Gastonia and Jason Adams of Clover, SC; 2 great granddaughters, Kaitlyn Britton of Newton, NC, and Lilly Arrowood of Gastonia; sister, Dorcas Murphy of Stanley, sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Ken Wooten of Concord, NC; sisters-in-law, Edith Grice of Lowell, Kate Grice of Gastonia, Ellen Rankin of Gastonia; brothers-in-law Willard Arrowood of Lowell, Henry Arrowood of Gastonia; many nieces, nephews, a very special friend Sharon Robinson of Carmel, Indiana and her loving church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James, Eric, Floyd and John Grice, sister Myrtle White, brothers-in-law Richard Eugene Ar-rowood, James Murphy and sisters-in-law Ila Paxton, Bonnie Dockery and Rachel Arrowood.

A visitation will be held from 2:30 until 4 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church.

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday at Ranlo Baptist Church with the Revs. Matt Thomas and Jerry Rumfelt officiating.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you please send memorials to Ranlo Baptist Church, 1517 Spencer Mtn. Hwy, Gastonia, NC 28054.
