CRAMERTON - Anna Sue "Susie" Ford, 75, died Jan. 20, 2014, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 17, 1938, and daughter of the late Leroy Spencer and Margaret Leeper Ford.

Susie was educated in the Cramerton Schools, received her Bachelors Degree from Appalachian State Teachers College and her Masters De-gree in Music from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. She taught chorus and music education in the Iredell County Schools from which she retired with over thirty years of service. Susie was recognized by the National Association for Music Education. The highlight of her teaching career was the formation of the choral group, The Fordsters of South Iredell High School. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Cramerton where she served as choir director whenever called upon and taught the Dorcas Sunday School Class.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Cramerton with Dr. David Julen officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dorcas and Kiker-VanPelt Sunday School Classes.

There will be a gathering of family and friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Survivors include her cousin, Betty Leeper; her extended family and friends, and her church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by beloved aunt, Elizabeth "Libby" Leeper, who was a major part of her education and life; and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Rankin Leeper.
