DALLAS – Harold Maurice Pasour, 79, passed away Feb. 14, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Brooks and Helen Shives Pasour.
Mr. Pasour was a United States Navy retiree with 30 years of service and 15 years of Federal Civil Service.
On the first of four duty assignments at Rota, Spain, he met and married his Spanish bride, Angelina.
He was a member and deacon of Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church. Harold was a member of Masonic Lodge 263 in Dallas, founding member of the North Gaston Scholarship Fund and President of the Board with Agriculture Center VFD.
He is survived by his daughters, Marie Graham and Helena Lassiter, both of Dallas; grandchildren, Brandy Lassiter, Madison Graham, Cale Lassiter; and great grandson, Tristan Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Angeles Pasour; son, Vincente Pasour; and brother, Keith Pasour.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Shaw officiating.
Burial will be at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by Gaston County Honor Guard and masonic rites by Masonic Lodge 263.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Dallas Funeral Home.
