BESSEMER CITY - Fred Farrar Lineberger, 48, entered into rest on Feb. 16, 2014, at the Mayo Clinic in Jack-sonville, Fla.

He was born Aug. 31, 1965 in Gaston County, son of Thomas Lowe Lineberger and Virginia "Bobbie" Farrar Lineberger of Bessemer City.
Mr. Lineberger was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, Bessemer City, where he served as youth leader. He was passionate for the youth. He was employed by Dallas Machine Company. Fred enjoyed carp fishing.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Concord United Methodist Church, 2404 Tryon Courthouse Road, Bessemer City, officiated by the Revs. Cindy Spicer and David Nolan.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia.
Interment will be at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bessemer City.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lineberger is survived by: his loving wife of 23 years, Suzanne Bullard Lineberger of the home; son, John Lineberger of the home; daughter, Anna Lineberger of the home; brother, Rev. Thomas Lineberger Jr. and wife Debbie of Leesville, S.C.; sister, Penny Herman and husband Larry of Lincolnton; mother and father-in-law, Judy and Paul Bullard of Bessemer City; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; seven nieces and nephews; three great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lineberger was preceded in death by: his sister, Tammy Lineberger.
