MOUNT HOLLY - Linda Hedgepath Parks, 69, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2014.

She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Leroy and Mozelle Ramsey Hedgepath.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Durell Parks; and two brothers, Jerry and Dean Hedgepath. Linda attended Community Christian Fellowship. Linda enjoyed spending time at the beach, shagging and shopping, but Linda loved being with her family most of all and was at the center of everything in their lives. Her joy of all was her three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Renea Jenkins and husband Eddie of Mount Holly and Steve Parks and wife Robbin of Belmont; three grandchildren, Chad Clemmer and wife Nicole of Mount Holly, Melissa Padgett and husband Justin of Mount Holly and Summer Parks of Belmont; three great-grandchildren, Brayden Clemmer, Chloe Clemmer and Easton Padgett; four sisters, Betty Beasley of Belmont, Shirley Morgan of Stanley, Kitty Tay-lor of Mount Holly and Cathy Treece and husband David of Dallas; one brother, Johnny Hedgepath of Cramer-ton; and her loyal companion, Tiko.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Parks will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at McAdenville Baptist Church with the Revs. Roger Grassfield and Walt Griggs officiating.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
