BELMONT – Demurris Rosemary Johns Finchum, 82, of Dallas, passed away Friday April 18th, 2014 in the presence of her loved ones.

Born May 5th, 1931 in Loudon, Tenn., she is preceded in death by her father Garland Johns, mother Marie Cardin Johns, brother
Sammie Johns, two grandchildren, and her husband Stanley Ray Finchum Sr.

Demurris was loved and respected by many for her kindness, generous spirit and constant devotion to her family and God. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those blessed to have her touch their lives.

Mrs. Finchum is survived by her son, Stanley Ray Finchum Jr. and wife Derita of Melissa, TX; daughter, Faye Hacker and husband George of Stanley, NC; granddaughter, Regina Randall of Dallas, NC; granddaughter, Toni Roberson and husband Riley of Oak Point, TX; grandson Brian Finchum and wife Keara of Rockwall, TX; grand-daughter Stephanie Finchum of Oak Point, TX; granddaughter Jaimie Cline and husband Derrick of Concord, NC; grandson Brett Hacker of Greensboro, NC; four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014, at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
