GASTONIA - Betty Warth "Bee Bee" Harrison passed from this world on June 20, 2014. She was 86 years old.

Betty was born in Lumberton on July 7, 1927. She joins her beloved husband, Charles Allan Harrison, who patiently waited for her to join him in heaven.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Herman Warth and his wife Helen Warth, and her children, Charles A Harrison II, his wife Dale Harrison, Rodger D Harrison, Jennifer Harrison Van Wie.
Betty leaves behind eight grandchildren, Chris, Angela, and Ryan Harrison, Trofe and his wife Amy, and Trinity Campbell, Justin Van Wie and his wife Naomi and Heather and her husband Eric Plampin and Tiffany Harrison, as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Herman Warth; her mother, Ella Mae Warth; and her daughter, Cheryl Harrison Brown.
Betty completed secretarial school at Queens College in Charlotte. After World War II, she married Charles Harrison in 1947 and was happily married to him for 66 years. She was in the Junior Women's League in Gastonia and on the Gastonia Bowling league where she participated in the N.C. Women's Bowling Association Championship Tournament.
Betty was a mother of four, a wonderful home maker and then in 1953 she became a career business woman. She was part owner and operations manager of Fern Forest Apartments in Gastonia. She worked hand in hand with her husband, Charles Harrison, and helped him operate Harrison Realty Company. Gregarious and charming, she was loved by all who had the honor of meeting her.
A memorial service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the service at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.
Interment will be private.
The family wants to give a special thanks to the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, her hospice physician, Dr. Case, her nurses, Runa and Coleen, and her loving CNA Kathy of Gaston Hospice that allowed us to bring her home and held our hands every step of the way.
