GASTONIA - Floyd Lee Turner, 95, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2014, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was a native of Grover, born Aug. 14, 1918, to the late Charlie and Johnnie Mae Collins Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 60 years, Margie White Turner.
Floyd was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. He retired from Rex-Ticaro, Inc. for over 50 years and later at Hardee's baking biscuits for over 15 years. Floyd served in the U.S. Army, was a member of the Gaston County Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and cooking, and loved Life. He was a great cook! But most of all he adored his loving wife Margie.
Survivors include a son, Joe Turner; brother-in-law, Don White and wife Shirley, Leary White and sis-ters-in-law Marjorie White, Judy White and Delores White Rohrl and several nieces and nephews
A visitation will be held from noon until 1 p.m. with a celebration of life service to follow at 1 p.m. Fri-day at Sandy Plains Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Hensley officiating.
Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park.
