DALLAS - Carl McGill Thompson, 80, of 5004 St. Charles Drive, died July 17, 2014.

His funeral service will be noon Monday in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dale Law-ing and G.W. Horne officiating
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Thompson was born July 5, 1934, in Clover, S.C., to the late James Herbert and Estelle Robinson Thompson. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War and then later worked as a supervisor for Hardin Manufacturing and as a technician for Parkdale Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley R. Thompson of the home; three daughters, Donna Free-stone and husband Steve, and Carla Keeter and husband Butch, all of Dallas, and Glenda Black and hus-band Kenny of Stanley; one granddaughter, Gina Keeter of Dallas; and two step granddaughters, Erin Black of Stanley and Whitney Black of Austin, TX.
