HAW RIVER - John Kenneth Pasour, 42, died Aug. 6, 2014, at the Hock Family Pavilion Hospice in Durham.

A native of Gaston County, he was the husband of Dana Byrd Pasour, who survives and the son of Kenneth Pasour and Clara Wellman Pasour, who survive. He was a landscape contractor and owner of Carriage Creek Landscape Services. He served as the Cub Master of Pack 65 in Saxapahaw. He was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to his wife of the home and parents of Dallas, NC, survivors include two sons, Rhett and Brandon Pasour of the home; sister, Sandra Dellinger and husband Randall of Denver, NC; brother, Tim-othy Pasour and wife Karen of Swannanoa, NC; and
several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.
The funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Lutheran Church, 330 Old NC 277 Loop Road, Dallas, NC 28034, officiated by Pastor George Rhyne with the family receiving friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center, Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710 or to the children's college funds, C/O Rebecca Caison, 101 East Laramie Drive, Mebane, NC 27302 with checks made payable to NC529 Plan with a min-imum of a $25.00 contribution per N. C. law requirements.

Tumor staff and the Duke Hospice for the care and support given to John and our family for the past year.
