CRAMERTON - Mrs. Betty Jo Eller Starrett, 76, of Cramerton, died at Robin Johnson House, Dallas on Saturday, October 4, 2008.

She was a native of Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Weldon and Bryte Lineberger Eller.

She was a graduate of Cramerton High School and was a member of United Baptist Church of Gastonia. She was a former employee of Vision Hosiery, Belmont and Queen's Florist, Cramerton.

"She was a true example of what Christ's love is."

She is survived by two sons: Eddie Starrett and wife Karen of Cramerton, Robert Starrett and wife Judi of Greensboro; three daughters: Dodie Benefield and husband Randy, Tracy Starrett both of Gastonia, Renee Starrett Black and husband Dwight of Dallas; three sisters: Marie Silvers of Belmont, Patty Kelly and husband Doug, Maxine Cox, both of Gastonia; 10 grandchildren: Faith Starrett Glasgow, Charlie Starrett, Sarah Starrett, Eli Benefield, Alethea Eller, Anna Eller, Robert Starrett, Justin Smith, Megan Smith, Andrew Smith; seven great-grandchildren: Dylan Hester, Piper Glasgow,Megan Johnson, Skyler Starrett, Drew Starrett, Chloe Queen, Dustin Hester.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years, Bobby Eugene Starrett.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia, with the Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
