CATAWBA - Sandra Ann Bralley, 66, passed away April 5, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 1, 1944, in Gratiot County, Mich., daughter of Ralph and Jane Noack Mort.
She was a graduate of North Michigan University and was retired from the Gaston County School Systems after 28 years of service. Sandra was a member of the Catawba River Keepers, the Lake Norman Cove Keepers and loved anything that had to with the outdoors. She loves her garden, bird watching, was a very unselfish person and was devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Bralley; two daughters, Chandra Bralley of Asheville and Penny Wellman of Charlotte; a son, Sandar "Chip" Bralley of Alachua, FL; a brother, Paul R. "Skip" Mort of Mancelona, MI; a granddaughter, Jasmine Wellman of Charlotte; one niece and many cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Catawba Funerals and Cremations.
Inurnment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park, Hickory.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
