Jean Baber Obituary
She was born in Harrisburg, Va., daughter of the late Charles and Annie Bowen Gardner.
She was a former member of the former Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Mount Holly and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Carl M. Baber; two daughters, Terri Claytor Nunn and husband Dale of Pfafftown, N.C., Tracye Claytor Gilleand and husband Troy of Peachtree City, Ga.; one son, Andrew Gordon Claytor II and wife Mary of Chatham, Va.; one stepdaughter, Shannon Baber Roberts and husband Tony of Denver; three stepsons, Don Baber and wife Gail of Kings Mountain, Dan Baber of Kings Mountain, and Van Baber and wife Wendy of Winston Salem; one brother, Glenn Gardner of Buena Vista, Va.; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Baber will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Holly, officiated by the Rev. Kendell Cameron and Dr. Robert Winecoff.
Burial will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Mount Airy.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, National Kidney Foundation Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St.,
New York, NY 10016 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6062 ,Albert Lea, MN 56007-6662.
Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly is in charge of the arrangements.
