LINCOLNTON - Mabel Kale Pearson, 77, of the Lincoln Nursing Center in Lincolnton, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Rudisill offi-ciating.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pearson was born June 1, 1935, in Gaston County to the late John Lock and Charlotte Harbin Kale. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaac David Pearson. She worked at Mary Jo's Cloth Store in Gastonia for many years. She also enjoyed racing, especially pulling for Dale Jr.

She is survived by three sons, Eugene Bumgardner Jr. of Bessemer City, John Bumgardner and wife, Rose, of Maiden and Richard Bumgardner and wife, Beverly, of Warshoals, S.C.; two daughters, Tonda Kellum and husband, Johnny, of Jacksonville and daughter, Meleah Deaton and husband, William, of Lincolnton; a sister, Jeanette Hyleman of Gastonia; four step-daughters, Cynthia Helms, Lynn Winchester, Melinda Helms and Sandra Hamrick; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Warlick Funeral Home is serving the Pearson family.
