KINGS MOUNTAIN - James Larry Green Sr., 72, resident of 209 Jim Patterson Road, died Nov. 20, 2012, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
He was born in Apex, son of the late Ira and Lena Cash Green.
He was retired from the textile industry, a former employee of Anvil Knit, Cinderella Knit and Professional Knit. Mr. Green was an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was an avid hunter and loved working in his garden. He also served in the National Guard for 10 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years; Gladys Conner Green, Kings Mountain, son, JR Green, Kings Mountain, daughters, Linda Dellinger and hus-band Lew, Kings Mountain, Brenda Wells and husband David, Kings Mountain, Tina Hayes, Kings Mountain, Patsy Leigh and husband Brent, Kings Mountain, brother, Roy Green, Apex, sisters, Jeannette Scott, Cary, Sue Clark, Fuquay-Varina, JoAnn Massey, Durham, Judy Jenkins, Apex, grandchil-dren, Brittany Green, Lauren Dellinger, Mason Dellinger, David Ray Wells, Elizabeth Wells, Wendy Postell, Paul Leigh.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain with the Rev. Greg Huntley officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home.
Interment will be 4:30 p.m. Friday at Rock Springs Baptist Church, Rutherfordton.
