A Mass of Christian Burial will be held noon Monday with Father Frank Cancro, Celebrant at Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Belmont.
Interment will be private at a later date.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Bill was born Aug. 27, 1965, in Lincoln County, son of Jeanette Cherry and the late Billy Cherry.
He was a kind and gentle man who always provided for his family, was a hard worker, avid sportsman, loved camping and would do anything for anyone. Throughout his life, he worked at several bike shops and through his passion and dedication came to own one of his own several years back. His main focus and purpose in life was to take care of his wife, beloved children, family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Jeanette Cherry of Lincolnton, Bill is also survived by his wife, Julie Cherry of Belmont; his three beloved children, Tripp Cherry of Stanley, Abigal and Kendall Cherry of Belmont; and by his siblings, Brian and Lynn Cherry of Lincolnton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the family to set up an education fund for his children. Please mail any donations to the funeral home for delivery to the family.
