GASTONIA - Alice Janet Dailey, 88, was called home to be with the Lord on Feb. 24, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.

She was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wisc., daughter of the late Adam and Emily Nowak Kwiatkowski.

Mrs. Dailey was married in Washington, D.C., to the most important man in her life, her husband, William Dailey who passed away in 1985 after 38 years of marriage.

Alice was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gastonia. She was a US Navy Veteran, having served during WWII. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the "Older But Better Team."

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gastonia, officiated by Father Roger Arnsparger.

The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.

She is survived by: son, Patrick Dailey and his wife, Paula of Milwaukee, WI; daughters, Kathleen Fountain and her husband, Brian of Gil-lette, WY, Debra Caldwell of Gastonia; brother, Jerome Kwiatkowski and wife Carol; sisters, Ruth Marks, Mary Wild and her husband, Joseph; grandchildren, Russell, Cynthia, Virginia, Daniel, Jolene, Shaun; 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Leona Wolski.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to of NC, 514 Daniels St., Suite 109, Raleigh, NC 27605.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
