GASTONIA - Carl Ray Pardue, 90, passed away March 17, 2013, at Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.

He was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Ronda, son of the late Maynard and Bertha Pardue.
Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a US Army Air Corps, WWII Veteran. He was the neighbor-hood Mr. Fixit, had a passion for golf and was a master of the German Johnson tomato. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Gaston Hos-pice and the Robin Johnson Hospice House, who have been loving and kind to our Dad and our family.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church, 2024 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. George Gasperson and Ned Buckner.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be private in Ronda.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lucille Alexander Pardue; children, Ginny Skarpalezos, Andy Pardue, Margaret Gasperson and their spouses; brothers, Warren and Jack Pardue; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
