DALLAS - Jerrol McKinney, 81, passed away March 17, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Gaston County, born April 30, 1931, to the late Jesse J. and Hattie B. McKinney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Rhonda and brothers, Bud, Charles and Dean. Jerrol was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. He had retired from Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Honeycutt McKinney, his son, Darin and wife Melissa of Lenoir; six grand-children and two great grandchildren.

Services will be at later date.
