CHERRYVILLE - Mrs. Margaret Stroupe "Maggie" Fraley, 92, of 131 Buck Fraley Road, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at her residence.

Maggie was born in Gaston County, on October 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Bedie Vandyke Stroupe. She gave of her time and talents and was an active member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John L. "Buck" Fraley Sr. in 2000; and a granddaughter, Eliza-beth Blair Fraley in 1996.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Allen Rhyne Fraley and Susan, John L. Fraley Jr. and Guyann, all of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Zackary Fraley, Meg Peak and husband, Hunter, Caroline and Mary Grace Fraley; a sister and best friend, Lola S. Beam; niece, Caryl B. Austell; nephew, James L. Beam III, all of Cherryville; and a great-grandson, Parks Allen Peak; and a special friend, Iria.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County for their care and support.
Visitation will be from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, Cherryville.
A Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Monday, April, 29, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Rick Fite and Leonard Bumgardner.
Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
