DALLAS, N.C. ? Ethel Jarrell Haas, 93, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on May 10, 2013, at Peak Resources.

She was a native of Gaston County, born April 25, 1920, to the late Zoeanna and Avery Jarrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of more than 60 years, Marshall James Haas, who died in 1999; her son and daughter-in-law, Mervin and Tobi Haas; a granddaughter, Cindy Haas; and two brothers, Johnny and Conley Jarrell; four sisters, Bessie, Alma, Flossie and Mamie.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Ethel was a member of the Union Road Church of God and a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Lanny Haas, Ronnie Haas and wife, Gail, Janice Friday and husband, Earl, all of Dallas; one brother, Junior Jarrell of Dallas; 10 grandchildren, Todd, Barry, Ginger, Kim, Brian, Randy, Kevin, Shane, Butch, III and Angie; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Monday prior to the service and other times at the home of Ronnie and Gail, 704 Colt Thornburg Road, Dallas.
Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Collins officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
