LINCOLNTON ? Lewis Ray Futch, 67, passed away May 9, 2013, at his home.

He was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Sherman, Texas, son of the late Leonard and Katherine Hancock Futch.
Mr. Futch loved his family dearly. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball and working outside.
A funeral service will be 3 p.m.Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, officiated by the Revs. Larry Liverett and Fred Morrison.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City, with military honors by the Gaston County Honor Guard.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 24 years, Jo Ann Stokes Futch; daughter, Tammy Futch Welch; daughter-in-law, Tina Smith; brother, Carl Eugene Futch and his wife, Marlene; sister, Pat Whitaker and her husband, Duaine; grandchildren, Danielle McAllister, Kelsey Futch, Cortney Huffstetler and Tiara Smith; great-grandchild, Isaiah Lewis Brock; five brothers in-law; three sisters in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death b: his son, David Lewis Futch; daughter, Katherine Futch; brothers, Alvin and Dean Futch; sisters, Margaret Evans, Frances Howell and Theresa Petit; granddaughter, Amanda Waddell.
