STANLEY - Elizabeth "Lib" Naomi Flowers Caldwell, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, June 14, 2013, at Stanley Total Living Center.
A native of Gaston County, she was a daughter of the late Loyd Marcus and Martha Huffstickler Flowers; wife of the late Fred Orders Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Lib was a lifelong and active member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, James Caldwell and wife, Marty, of Spindale; daughters, Ronda Whitley of Davidson, Martha Muse and husband, Carl, of Rock Hill, S.C.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Lee Ann Smith and husband, Chip; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
The funeral service, officiated by the Revs. Tom Kinman and Samuel Pierce, will be held at the church at 1 p.m. Monday.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens.
