GASTONIA - Ingeborg "Inge" Maria Greene Chapman, 70, of 621 Green Chapman Road, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Frankfurt, Germany, daughter of the late William and Margaret Greene.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Kermit Chapman, and a great-grandson, Kaydon Ray Brooks.
She was a member of the Belmont Women of the Moose Chapter #1625 and a member of Sunset Forest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Fields Chapman; daughter, Maria Chapman Tate, of Gastonia; two sons, Johnny Fields Chapman Jr., and fiancé Teresa Ricketts of Gastonia, and Tommy Glenn Chapman of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Shawn M. Walker, Boogie Tate, Michelle Lynna Chapman and fiancé Sheldon Brooks, and Shay Chapman Bernon and husband, Landon; one great-grandchild, Adalyn Sophia Brooks; one brother and one nephew of Germany.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Chapman will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Sunset Forest Baptist Church with The Rev. Jeff Hicks and The Rev. Randy Sutherland officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Finance Department, 30 East 33rd St. New York, N.Y., 10016.
