CHARLOTTE - Jerry Coleman Smith, 77, of 1101 Dunleigh Drive, passed away Nov. 10, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Montgomery County, son of the late Burley and Ruby Elizabeth Robinson Smith.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth David Smith, and two brothers, Burley Smith Jr. and Bruce Smith. He was a retired produce man-ager.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Jordan Smith; daughters, Cyndy Allen and husband James of Mansfield, Texas, Phyllis Mangum and husband John of Lucia; one son, Perry Smith of Charlotte; a daughter, Linda Cook of Charlotte; one brother, Cody Smith and wife Wanda of Tabor City; two sisters, Nell Wilson of Matthews and Shirley Jordan and husband Tommy of Pineville; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Smith will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte with the Rev. Mel Burton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
