Lucille Bryant Obituary
Born in Gaston County, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo Hoffman and Annie Beaulah Hanna Hoffman.
Mrs. Bryant worked for Burlington Industries for over 25 years as well as Avis Rental Car for 3 years. A member of Flint Groves Baptist Church for 57 years, Mrs. Bryant helped prepare meals for Wednesday night fellowship, and was a member of the Senior Choir and the Gleaners Sunday school class.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Virgil Fred Bryant; daughter, Joyce Faye Bryant; brother, Coit Hoffman; sisters, Edith Hoffman, Edna Kitchen and Aileen Rockett.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her daughter, Vickie Sue Bryant of Gastonia; sister, Velma Turner of Gastonia; brother-in-law, Rev. Burel Bryant of Gastonia; sisters-in-law, Edna Carroll of Garden City, SC and Barbara Mitchell of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; adopted grand-son, Ronnie Aldridge of Brigham City, UT; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends of Mrs. Bryant are invited to attend her visitation beginning at 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at McLean Funeral Di-rectors of Gastonia with her funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in Founders Chapel. The Revs. Ronnie Bowers, Larry Bradley and Terry Brooks will officiate.
Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
