CLOVER, S.C. - Donald Joseph "Don" Varalli Sr., 67, passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2014, surrounded by his family.

Memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March, 29, 2014, at Landers Chapel United Methodist Church, 1205 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton, with the Rev. Frank Herman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at M.L Ford & Sons Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St, Clover, and other times at his daughter's home, 6670 Oakridge Road, Clover, S.C.

Don was born Aug. 29, 1946, in Lincolnton, to Edith Varalli and the late Al Varalli. He was a disabled Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked for Genuine Parts/NAPA for 45 years. He was also a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and an avid bowler until struck with cancer in 2005. Don also enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, working outdoors, playing poker, golfing and spend-ing time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years Barbara Brandon Varalli; sons, Jodie Varalli and wife Lisa, Jeff Varalli and wife Cindy; daughter, Donna Varalli; mother, Edith Varalli; brother; John "Buddy" Varalli; grandchildren, Joey, Josh, Erika, Logan, Alli and Wyatt Varalli, Ashlee Killough and husband Josh, Jessy Walters and Kaiti Jefferies.

Don has donated his body to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for cancer research and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Research, Disabled Veterans, or Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
