Gary Preslar

CRAMERTON - Gary Wayne Preslar passed away in the arms of his loving wife on the morning of March 29, 2015.

He was the son of Marian Autry Preslar and the late Mark Alexia Preslar of Concord.

He is survived by his mother; his wife Judith Preslar; his children, Emily Joseph and her husband Jul-ian, Nathan Preslar, John Sherrill and his wife Sherry, and Jeanna Spiker and her husband Patrick; his sister, Donna Foulks and her husband John and sister-in-law, Charlotte Preslar; and his five grandchil-dren: Katie, Cody, Brianna, Sean, and Caroline. He is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Preslar.

Gary was a 1968 graduate of Harding High School and a Vietnam era veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed trips to the Outer Banks and spending time with his family. He was a loving son, husband, and father with an independent mind and faithful heart. Throughout the last weeks of his life, he was grateful for and humbled by the uplifting prayers and support of his family, friends and community.

A memorial service will be held in his honor 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pitts Baptist Church in Concord. Rel-atives will receive family and friends immediately after the service.
