Carson Smith Obituary

Carson Franklin Smith, 25, passed away on June 8, 2017 at his home in Colorado Springs.

Carson moved to Colorado Springs from Washington state as a teenager, and discovered his love of country music here. As a child, Carson loved playing basketball in the local youth leagues in Washington, and played varsity basketball at Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado Springs, where he graduated in 2009.

He was a real computer fan: from surfing the internet to playing games, he spent many happy hours in front of the computer screen, and most recently built his own computer and was learning to design web pages. His favorite television show, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, never failed to make him laugh. Carson was excited to be learning the intricacies of making artisan beers and wanted to pursue the craft.

Family was very important to Carson, he was a loving son and brother, and enjoyed the time he spent with his family very much. He always watched out for his younger brother, Camden. Somehow he felt this entitled him to tease Camden, a privilege he thoroughly enjoyed. Carson considered his black Lab, Rascal, an important part of the family and they were best buds always.

Carson will be remembered for his kind heart, loving nature, and devotion to his family.

Carson is survived by his father, Donald Franklin Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; mother, Liesl Mary Emerson of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Ashton Coe Preuninger (Joel) of Richland, Washington; brother, Camden Smith of Colorado Springs, Colorado; stepsisters, Claire Maloney (Ryan) of Kennewick, Washington, Kelsey McCool of Kennewick, Washington, Heather Blitch of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Danielle Reid (Josh) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Service, 2:00PM, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at New Life Church, World Prayer Center, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80921.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Life Church, The Salvation Army, or the charity of your choice.

We love you always, Carson. Do go to God.
