Maureen Krauth, a resident of Colorado Springs since August of 2001, passed away on May 1, 2014. She was the Children's Pastor for Fellowship of the Rockies.
Moe was born on August 21, 1961 in Buffalo, New York to Henry C. and Maura (O'Connor) Johnson. She grew up in Mesa, Arizona and then lived in Tucson for 10 years. She graduated from University of Arizona in Tucson, "Bear Down, Arizona" She then moved to San Diego, California for another 10 years before moving to Colorado Springs. She married David C. Krauth on July 26, 1986 in Mesa, Arizona.
Moe loved reading, camping, and baking. But above all else, she loved children and they loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Krauth; her sister, Darlene M. Heavlin (husband Frank) of Chandler, Arizona; father-in-law, Jim Krauth of Salem, Oregon; numerous extended family members, including brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews; her church family, and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew C. Krauth; and her parents.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Fellowship of the Rockies, 1625 8th Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80905. A reception will follow the services at the church. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Moe's memory to "Fellowship of the Rockies" for the Krauth Memorial Fund supporting Brent's Place and Children's/Youth Ministries. Online contributions may be made at www.forchurch.org

Maureen; I looked for you for years only to find out today of your passing. I see from your Facebook page you had many family and friends that loved you so. You must of lived a very happy life. RIP my friend Maureen Johnson - I have many special funny childhood memories that I will cherish forever.

Maureen was such a special lady. She was a wonderful teacher and a great mom to Matt. To her husband Dave, we are praying for you. May God give you strength at this time. May your faith give you comfort and peace. God bless you always.
