Chuck Caniglia, age 63, a resident of Colorado Springs for 16 years, and formerly of Covina, California passed away on Thursday, September 26 at a local hospice. He was an agent for the Prudential Insurance Company for 30 years and a Black Jack Dealer in Cripple Creek for 2 years.
Charles Gaetano Caniglia was born on August 26, 1950 in Omaha, Nebraska to Cirino and Minnie (Evanoff) Caniglia. He was a 1968 graduate of South High School in Omaha. He married Carol Elizabeth Okey on August 6, 1973 in Covina, California.
He was a Marine and a Vietnam veteran who received a Purple Heart.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards, and teaching the grandkids to shoot BB guns. He will be best remembered for his smile, sense of humor, his ability to "fix" things, to lend a helping hand, and was a wonderful conversationalist.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol of Colorado Springs, his daughter, Christine (husband, Jeff Suarez) Caniglia-Suarez of Monument, Colorado and his son Jeff Caniglia of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his mother, Minnie Caniglia, of Omaha, two brothers, Tony and Michael (wife, Mary) of Omaha, and his sister, Rosemarie (husband, Mitchell) Spellman of Phoenix, Arizona.
He has four wonderful grandchildren: Parker, Noah, Ethan, and Brianne.
A Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. Please dress casually or wear jeans. Cremation is planned.

Louise, Chuck, Judi, and I are cousins that were born one month apart. We remember each other as we each have our birthdays. It won't be the same without Chuck, but we will still think of him each year and keep the memories in our hearts.. Praying for the family. Nancy Caniglia Fiene
