Brian Patrick Anderson

Brian Patrick Anderson, 28, died May 31st, 2012. Brian was born on May 29th, 1984 to Robert and Elizabeth Anderson; Brian grew up in Colorado Springs. As an adult, Brian had a series of jobs including cook, t-shirt printer, and cashier. He even tried his hand at professional boxing. At the end he was a union roofer for Local 58 which he enjoyed very much. Brian was never afraid to do a hard day of work, and always worked until there was nothing left to do. In his spare time, Brian enjoyed fishing and it was always a contest between him and his father to see who the better angler was. On weekends he would spend his day watching NASCAR and rooting for his favorite driver, Tony Stewart. Brian's life was far too short, and he spent most of his life working. The only luck he had was the bad kind, but he held his head high and never gave up, and at the end he died doing something he loved. There is at least a small amount of solace to be gained from that. Brian is survived by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth of Colorado Springs, sister Nichole and her husband Jason of Colorado Springs, maternal grandparents James and Phyllis of Colorado Springs, his maternal grandmother Violet of Oregon, maternal Aunt Eileen and Uncle James of Colorado Springs, and maternal Uncle Gary of California and Aunt Linda of Oregon, and nieces Haley, and Madison of Colorado Springs, who all loved him very much. There will be a visitation held at Mountain Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918 on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 4-6pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain View Mortuary on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Brian's name to the Colorado Springs Fire Department Heavy Rescue Gift Trust. 375 Printers Parkway.
