Frances Jean Huyett, whom everyone called Frankie, passed into her brother's arms, the Lord's, and other dear family members' on the 24th day of August, 2013. Francis Jean Eckley was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 8th, 1930 to Anna Catherine Dillion of Hedrick, Iowa (professional seamtress of wedding dresses) and Roscoe Harold Eckley also of Hedrick, Iowa (a pharmacist). She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Wayne Eckley. Frankie worked at several retail stores including Rexall Drug in Anchorage, Alaska, Walgreen's Drug and Long's Drug in Colorado Springs. She also worked at True Value Hardware in Colorado Springs and was employed by a pediatrician in the 1960s. She is survived by her husband, retired Air Force Major Melvin Huyett; three children, Lynn Ann Peterson (Raymond), Randal Michael Fontana, and Starla Marie Wise (Steve); 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was always kind, smiling, caring, nonjudgmental, full of fun, quick to laugh, and loved by all. A private service will be held.
