Frank Kaltenstein was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 8, 1921 and he died March 30, 2013 at age 91. He was in the Pacific area as a radio man with the 4th Marine Division during World War II. He was injured on Saipan for which he was awarded the Purple Heart
. He married Charlotte Marshall on November 19, 1949 and they had two children. Frank worked as a union carpenter in Pennsylvania, Utah, Alaska, Oregon and Colorado for 38 years, retiring in 1985. He had a ham radio station in Colorado for 10 years. He was the last of 11 children and is survived by his wife, 2 children, 3 nieces and their families and a nephew and his wife.
