Jacquline "Jackie" Courtney

Jacquline "Jackie" Courtney, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed on to a better life on Saturday, June 29, 2013. She was born on July 29th, 1936 in Rosemont, West Virginia to Lester and Ruby Sandy. She was a long time resident of Colorado Springs. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George Courtney, her son, Craig; daughter, Terri; sister, Erma Lee; brothers, Phil and Lester, Jr. She is survived by four children: Sandy (Dave) Micci, Kim Courtney, George Courtney and Stephen (Tess) Courtney; sister, Patti Ann Whaley; brothers, Robert Sandy and Roger Dale Sandy; by 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Jackie devoted her life to being a good wife and mother. She was a Past President of the BPO Elks 309 Wives Club and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to play poker. "Miss Jackie" was one of the best and loved being the "local celebrity." She lived a life full of laughter and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 6th, 2013 at Swan Law Cascade Chapel - 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO.
