Joanne Vincent passed December 8 in Colorado Springs. She was born July 13, 1931 in Lanesboro, MN to Art & Gladys Olson. She was raised there and graduated from South West High School, MN.
After camping in Colorado fell in love with the mountains and moved here in 1972. Joanne had five children, and after a divorce began working in the insurance industry for 25 years. During this time her passions were helping others through her church and God. She was instrumental in starting IHN that helps homeless families, in the area get back on their feet.
After retiring in 1997 she kept her passion for her volunteer work, family and God. While attending her 50 year class reunion, she met her 2nd husband, Jerry, fell in love. They shared the joy of travel, Hawaii being one of their favorite destinations. Wherever they traveled they made lifelong friends. She could not say no to anyone that needed her help; she always did everything from her heart in the name of God, with a yes and a big smile.
Her battle with cancer took her from us. God now has a perfect angel. We all love and miss you. A celebration of life will be at Grace Lutheran church on Monday December 16, 2013 at 2pm. Located at 1128 East Boulder Street, Colorado Springs 80903.
