Larry Earl Lindholm

Our beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and friend, Larry Earl Lindholm, left this life to spend eternity in the arms of Jesus, Monday, April 22, 2013 at the age of 71. Larry was born June 27, 1941 in Fort Meade, SD to Elsie May Alexander and Oscar Walfred Lindholm. He graduated from Manitou Springs High School in 1959 and then spent 6 years in the Colorado Army National Guard from November 26, 1963 to November 25, 1969. While in the Guard, he earned top honors for schools he attended. On October 5, 1968, he married Ann Marie Weaver, settling in Green Mountain Falls then Divide, Colorado raising their two daughters, Kriston and Jamie Lindholm. As a teenager he worked in the stables and learned his carpenter-trade from Malcom Conn. He spent the rest of his life working as a self-employed building contractor. Larry rode bucking horses and roped calves in his early years. He was a die-hard hunter, outdoorsman and horseman. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, camping, horseback riding, trail riding going on pack-in trips and helping guide big game hunts. As an active Christian, Larry was always reading his Bible, visiting and praying for people who were sick and giving encouragement. He, like his father, will be remembered for his gift of storytelling. Larry was a true friend to all those who knew him and will forever be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann; and daughters, Kriston (Divide, CO) and Jamie (Woodland Park, CO); brother, Wayne Lindholm (Canon City, CO); sisters, Marjorie White and Myrna Wey (Green Mountain Falls, CO); numerous other family members and close friends. A Celebration to honor Larry's life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Joyland Church, Green Mountain Falls, CO.
