Monika Christa Latta

Monika Christa Latta of Colorado Springs, 71, died September 1st, 2013, at Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Berlin, Germany on April 3rd, 1942, the daughter of Paul and Marie Wolff.

Monika is survived by her sons Stephan of Colorado Springs and Mark of Aurora; sister, Maria Nitsche of Berlin, Germany; brothers Thomas Richter of Stuttgart, Germany and Rudolf Richter of Berlin, Germany; and two grandchildren, Jessica and Anthony of Aurora.

1965-1973 Monika was married to Manfred Steisslinger from Stuttgart, Germany where she worked in marketing and textiles.

1977-1995 she was married to Thomas Latta and moved to Colorado in 1979. She started her own housekeeping business and later transitioned into complete homecare with nanny responsibilities.

Monika was a giving, compassionate, and caring individual that made the world a better place through extending kindness to everyone she came in contact with. She cared for the elderly and disabled, and thought of others before herself. She had a great love and knowledge of plants, animals and seashells, and particularly enjoyed books by James Michener. She lovingly bred Boxers which brought immense joy into her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
