Randy Ray Macoubrie

RANDY RAY MACOUBRIE, 52, died of natural causes on 11 November, while at work on Oooguruk Island, Alaska. Born in San Diego, California, 1 August 1960, and raised there, Randy moved with his wife and two kids to Colorado Springs in June 1992. Although he loved the mountains, he always missed the beach--and, as he desired, his ashes will be scattered over both. As a welder his whole career, Randy's professional work is in businesses and homes throughout Colorado Springs, as well as at the Broadmoor Hotel. But he will be best remembered for his many personal, decorative Art projects--such as iron animals, miniature cars, boats, airplanes, and motorcycles, and even one full-sized, fun and functional pirate treasure chest! Randy's family (wife Katharine, son Ryan, daughter Bree, parents Ronald and Doreen, and his siblings) all miss him dearly, will love him always, and hopes to be with him again in a place of peace. A memorial service for Randy will be at Blunt Mortuary (2229 W. Colorado Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80904), on Tuesday, 20 November, at 1 PM. A reception will follow, immediately after the service.
