Shirley Ann Keefer (71) of Colorado Springs, CO, graciously passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013, in Plano, TX, following complications after heart surgery. There will be no services per her request. Shirley was born in Winston Salem, NC, on January 27, 1941, to James and Lilian Dye. She later moved to Colorado Springs, CO, where she met Jerry Keefer, her husband of 45 years. They had two children, Susan M. Sigler (Keefer), and Richard J. Keefer. They lived in Colorado Springs, CO for 40 years where she worked and retired from the audiology department of School District 2. Five and a half years ago Shirley & Jerry moved to Lawton, OK, to be near their children. She is survived by her husband, children, and their three beautiful grandchildren; Steffan Sigler (23), Richard Keefer, Jr. (18), Ava Grace Keefer (born January 4, 2013), and sister Christine Allmer. Shirley taught everyone who knew her the meaning of unconditional love, endless patience, forgiveness, and eternal happiness. She was known for her "one liners" that brought joy to a room and made everyone laugh!! She was blessed beyond measure with a fulfilling life and family and friends who loved her more than she could have ever known. We love you "Big as the Curtains."
