Shirley L Hamlin

Shirley L. Hamlin (Hoffmann) passed away in hospice care on Sunday, June 23, 2013. She was born in Owatonna, MN on July 16, 1941 and a resident of Colorado Springs, CO for 25 years. Shirley had two passions in her life. First and foremost, was the love for her family, and secondly, was her love for the medical profession while taking care of others. She spent 25 years at the Mayo Clinic working as a Hospital Unit Assistant and later in her career becoming a teacher for H.U.A's. Shirley leaves a legacy of memories behind for her son, Kurt Hamlin and his wife, Kris; daughter, Brenda Darnall and her husband, Bill; son, Chad Hamlin; and her 9 grandchildren: Brandon, Britton, Nicole, Michael, Brendan, Hope, Grace, Mason and Kalai. She also leaves memories for her brothers and sisters: Don and Sue Hoffmann, Sharon and Jim Hilfers, Jim and Pat Hoffmann, Diane and Brian Hayes, Mark Hoffmann, Linda and Ray Beamer, along with her 20 nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Hazel Hoffmann; and her youngest brother, Mike Hoffmann. Shirley will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna, MN. (1301 Lincoln Ave.)
