My dearest friend Inge, I tried to call you today but the phone was disconnected, so I knew. I have a very heavy heart today. You were such a dear friend. I will never forget our walks during lunch when we worked at Digital, nor will I forget our hikes in Waldo Canyon. I loved our visits togethre over the years! I will miss you… No more pain. Now you can run through the fields in Heaven. Roland, I'm sorry I couldn't visit during Thanksgiving when you were here in Springs (if you made it). Inge asked me to come over but I was not in town. My condolences to you and all your family. I will never forget my dear friend Inge. Rest in God's Peace.

I am so sad to learn of Inge's passing. I worked with her for many years during my Digital years and always found Inge was a wonderful person. I had no idea of her early life in Germany or her battle with cancer. She always seemed to be the giver and not the taker. I have fond memories and am sad to learn of her passing. Sadly enough we will add Inge's name to the Digital Reunion memorabilia board this year.

My condolences to Inge's family and friends. I recall her pleasant and friendly demeanor in all my work with her in the days past. She could be counted on for a smile and encouraging word when we had to work through those difficult documents necessary for our processes. The world could certainly use more people of her caliber and she will be missed greatly.

As I begin the New Year, it is with a heavy heart but with memories I will always cherish. The source of my being, my mother, Inge, is no longer with us. We lost her several days ago after a six month bout with cancer, this time. She had battled the disease for over 30 years. Many people she came into daily contact with did not know this. Mom never sought pity or beat the drum loudly, she persevered. She was a remarkable woman in many ways. She was kind and sweet but tough and independent. She had many great friends but enjoyed her privacy. She was stubborn or set minded at times but open to new things and adventures. She was mostly decisive but indecisive at times. She was a no nonsense person but very caring and emotional. She was very intelligent but could be naïve once in awhile. She was frugal but a very generous person. She was a devout Christian but very understanding and tolerant of others. Inge was a German lady but loved America unconditionally. What a remarkable woman. My mom. It was a privilege to be her child. With many tears and the utmost love and respect....
