It saddens us tremendously to announce the passing of our loving mother, Anita Perran (nee Downey), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, originally from St. Johns Newfoundland, Canada, on July 19th at age 90. Anita was predeceased by her husband Tom Perran in 1996 and her youngest daughter Anita Bondur in 1998, her brother Bill Downey and her sisters Gertrude Stamp, Kay O'Leary, and Isabella Ashley. Anita devoted most of her life to her husband Tom and their seven children, Bob (Linda) Homosassa Springs, FL, Jean (Brian Ellis) Newburgh, NY, Jerry (Lucy) Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Don (Dawn) Cary, NC, Randy (Kelly) Elizabeth, CO, Noel (Denise) Colorado Springs, CO, twenty-five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and her three sisters Margaret Mahoney, Mary Morris, and Rose Perran. Anita was an accomplished bowler in the 1960's and in later years an avid birdwatcher. She loved her native Newfoundland, spending many summers there. Her faith gave her strength until death at home with family. (Home at last!) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Anita's name.
