Annette Fetler Daymon, a Colorado Springs native, passed away on January 8th, 2013. She was born April 19th, 1952, to John and Ruth Fetler. Annette graduated Wasson High School in 1970, UCCS in 1995 with a BA in Psychology, and UCCS in 1998 with an MA in Counseling. Annette was a devoted wife and mother, accomplished writer and artist, passionate activist, compassionate counselor, and a lifelong student of spirituality and human behavior. She was also a dedicated community volunteer who loved music, drumming, pottery, and CommuniDance. She planted flowers everywhere she traveled. In 2012, she was awarded the Colorado College Spirit Award after over a decade of volunteer work at the CC Community Kitchen. Annette is survived by her mother Ruth, children Heather and Maxx Daymon, and brother Mark. A celebration of Annette's life will be held Saturday January 19th, 11:00AM at First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade, 80907. Attendees are requested to dress according to her style - joyful, colorful, and casual. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in Annette's name to the Memorial Fund of First Lutheran Church or to the Lung Cancer Alliance.
