Billy J. Ganaway was called home on December 6, 2013. Born September 20, 1933, in Cooper Texas. He was raised in Kansas City, MO. Joined the Air Force where he served honorably for 20 years. He moved to Colorado Springs, raised his family and retired from the Air Force. |
As a God loving man, he walked his life with honor, wisdom, determination, and conviction. Though he will most be remembered by his brilliant smile, humor and the love he gave for all he came to know.
He leaves behind his loving wife Callie M. Ganaway. His children, Ronald E. (Marilyn) Ganaway, Audrey R. Littlejohn, Evelyn J. Ganaway, Stanley M. Ganaway, and Valerie D. (Ron) Ganaway-Lewis. 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host relatives, nieces, nephews and close family friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David C. and Alma Z. Ganaway, two sisters, Winnie D. Talley, Gladys E. Ganaway, and brother Dave M. Ganaway.
Services will be held December 13, 2013 at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church at 11am. Viewing Angelus Chapel, Thursday, December 12 from 4pm to 7pm.
