Colorado Springs died October 23, 2013.
Born Blanca Isabella Feist in Karlsruhe, Germany on August 30, 1929, Blanca immigrated to the United States in 1954 and moved to Colorado Springs where she met her husband Malcolm E. "Cud" Nicoll, Sr. The couple married in Santa Fe, New Mexico on January 3, 1959 and returned to Colorado Springs where she resided for the past 54 years. An avid lover of nature and gardening, she loved trips to the mountains with her three sons, and growing colorful flowers and plants. She enjoyed classical music, baking, cooking, decorating, and entertaining guests.
She is preceded in death by her father Jakob Feist and her mother Berta Hedwig, of Karlsruhe, Germany, her husband Cud and grandson Douglas Hamilton Nicoll. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Smith of Manitou Springs, her three sons Malcolm Jr., of Piedmont, California, Spencer H. Nicoll, and Douglas W. Nicoll (wife, Tracie and son, Cameron) of Colorado Springs.
Blanca was a beloved mother, devoted wife, and homemaker who will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the El Paso Club, 30 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO on Wednesday, October 30th from 2-4:30.
